Meet the Vativ team

We are Vativ Media, a group of young professionals ready to elevate the way the market views your business. Our love for cinematography and media developed at an early age, making videos and growing a Youtube presence throughout West Michigan. After going separate ways in our educational and professional careers, we are combining our experiences and skill sets to build our dream media company. We are Vativ Media, and we attack media marketing from a modern perspective.

Jake Lamons

Jake’s professional career began at the age of 19 when his film “Northern” was selected as 1 of 4 finalists in National Geographic’s "Wild to Inspire" short film contest, and was showcased at the Sun Valley Film Festival. While attending Montana State University the following winter, Jake won the Red Bull Bracket Reel alongside the "Bozeman Sewer Mutants." Now an FAA licensed drone pilot, Jake has flown drones on 4 continents and continues to advance his skill set both behind the camera and in post production. Founding Vativ Media with his best friends was a lifelong dream of his, and that time has finally come.

Connor OBrien

Connor’s experience in brand marketing and project management taught him that sometimes the greatest opportunities lie outside the normal scope of vision. He graduated in the top of his class at the University of Tampa and received a degree in marketing. Prior to Vativ, he worked multiple marketing and sales jobs. His skills range all the way from a startup company competing in the outdoor recreation industry to a manufacturer representative working closely with architects. Connor’s drive to create original and disruptive content, along with his love for nature led him to Montana, where he’s pursuing his dream of starting his own marketing firm.

While studying International Business and Marketing in Tampa Florida, he received Grand jury, best in show, and awards of excellence in student film festivals. He is now looking to tie in his unique craftsmanship and marketing knowledge with the Vativ team.
